The New Mexico desert ranges in altitude from 2,000ft to over 13,000ft. The scenery is spectacular at all locations – blue sky with puffball clouds and multi-colored terrain are signature qualities of most photographs shot in this wonderful state.

The earliest human occupation is believed to have started circa 9,200BC. Modern written records originated with Spanish descriptions after they entered New Mexico from the south. They found an indigenous population that had lived in New Mexico for hundreds of years prior to the Spanish. Some of this culture still exists!
